A little something different today. The wonderful people at bakerdays sent me a letterbox cake to review(all opinions are my own)and I also have a giveaway to win one for yourself over on my Twitter!
So, for my cake I got to choose from all of their options on their website. There are so many different ones to choose from, from birthdays, to emojis, to Christmas! They have a cake for every occasion. The letterbox cakes are £14.99 and these are great to send friends and family for their birthdays or anything else as they just fit nicely through your letterbox. You can also personalize the cakes which, is always a nice touch!
I chose the Little Birdies Cake with chocolate chip filling. It only took a few days to get sent to my house and as soon as it came I was so excited.
When I opened the box you could instantly smell the cake and it smelt delicious. It came in this cute tin, which I am going to put my jewelry in...or more cake, and a little package with some balloons, candles etc-plus, some more information about bakerdays and all the other cakes they do(I am going to get their cupcakes next time!)
The cake was just so yummy. It is the perfect size just for yourself or if you want to share, like I did with my boyfriend and he said it was one of the best cakes he has had and I have to agree. The cake was soft and I loved the little extra chocolate chips that where in the cake and the icing was so yummy! Sometimes icing can be quite sickening but this wasn't. It was so fluffy and the great thing is, this cake can last up to 14 days!! But, if you're like me it'll be gone in 2.
I will definitely be ordering these cakes for all my family and friends when it's their birthday. It is a really good price for something that is made to how you want it and you can change little parts of the design and they have just done so well with it! (I need another one soon, it was too good)
So, check out bakerdays website and get yourself one of these! It is also a nice treat for yourself ;) OR try your luck and enter my giveaway on my twitter! You won't regret it, these cakes are just so delicious and the perfect size!
