It is day 8 of Horror Month - how is this going so fast?! And today I want to recommend some creepy/Halloween/paranormal books that I have loved and you guys should defiantly give them a read this month. Obviously all the other books in this month you should also give a read ;)

Twenty-five years ago, Elmbridge High School burned down. The blaze killed three and injured twenty, and one pupil, Carly Johnson, disappeared. For two decades, little was revealed about what became known as the Johnson Incident. Until now. A diary has been found in the ruins of the school. In this diary, Kaitlyn Johnson, Carly's twin, tells of the strange and disturbing sequence of events leading to the incident. But Kaitlyn doesn't exist. She never has.

This is a book that had me up all night reading it as it was super creepy and told in a different way from other books.

Everyone said the Graces were witches. They moved through the corridors like sleek fish, ripples in their wake. Stares followed their backs and their hair. They had friends, but they were just distractions. They were waiting for someone different. All I had to do was show them that person was me. Like everyone else in her town, River is obsessed with the Graces, attracted by their glamour and apparent ability to weave magic. But are they really what they seem? And are they more dangerous than they let on?

A spooky, witchy tale that will grip you from the beginning and is beautifully written and has so many twists that it is fantastic!

Enter Whisper Hollow at your own risk, for in this town spirits walk among the living, and the lake never gives up her dead. Whisper Hollow is no ordinary place. In this haunted town, people don't stay buried. Kerris Fellwater isn't your usual human. She's a spirit shaman who drives the dead back to their graves. Fifteen years ago, Kerris ran away from her hometown. But now she's back, and there are deadly magical forces at work, wreaking havoc. Whisper Hollow holds painful memories for Kerris, but a lot has changed. There's a mysterious new guy in town, Bryan, who Kerris feels powerfully drawn to. Together they unearth a horrifying family secret, and unravelling the mystery means working with - rather than against - the dead. Can they defeat Whisper Hollow's enemy, before it destroys them?
A very fantastic paranormal book! Perfect for when it is late at night and you're wrapped up on the couch at night!

A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs.
It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.
As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow impossible though it seems they may still be alive.

This trilogy is perfect for this time of year! It is eerily and creepy and just wonderful!
