So guys, if you follow me on Twitter you will know that on Thursday, last week, I met the wonderful Sarah J. Maas and I'm still not over it. It was one of the best days of my life and I am so happy I was able to travel to London to meet her. I had to get a 7:47 am train to London as me and my parents wanted to spend the day in London, it was fun but my feet still hurt. Then it came it 6pm and we made our way to the event, which already had a queue, thank god it was a ticketed event and we could pick out our seats.
We got in and we where in row C, even though we where close to the front I was still worried as our train home wasn't that long after the event and I really wanted to meet her and get my book signed.
The talk was hosted by the fabulous Katherine Webber, who has a book coming out next year btw, and I really enjoyed the talk between her and Sarah! It was so good! Sarah was so funny and we got some interesting news on the books and the tv adaptation, if you didn't already know AND it has made me so excited for the Chaol novella as well.
And then came the signing-it was about half 7 at this point and I was worrying about having enough time to get my train but the guy told me they where doing it row by row and we where row C so that made me feel better, especially as once the line got going it was going fast. We where allowed to get one book signed and one stamped as she had hurt her hand-considering there was a lot of people I give her props for powering through!-
We couldn't get posed pictures as they didn't have a lot of time but, I had my mum stand of to the side and take a picture as I was getting my book signed and talked to her. And what did we talk about? Lord Of The Rings.
She mentioned in the talk about how much of LOTR fan she is and I so happen to be wearing my Evenstar necklace and she noticed it and we talked about how she use to wear it all the time when she was younger and I said I was the same with Legolas and I had a giant poster of him and it was just a great moment.
Her husband did a fantastic job of stamping in the book.
I got my copy of EoS signed and ACOTAR stamped for my mum who is a big fan of that book.
It was such an amazing event and I was so happy I was able to meet her as I have been wanting to meet her for awhile now and it's happened!
It's a good year for author signings.
