I want to start something new on my blog. Each week I am going to do a blog post on different publishing houses. I will be talking about some of my favourite books from them and about their upcoming releases.
Today, I am talking about Usborne.
Usborne have published some of my favourite books. Especially books by Holly Bourne. She is one of my favourite writers and I have loved everything she has written. She currently has a new book out at the moment, It Only Happens In The Movies, which I picked up today and I am going to start it tonight. My favourite books from her is this wonderful series about friendship, love, relationships and feminism.
Some other books from them I have enjoyed are; After The Fire by Will Hill, If I Was Your Girl by Meredith Russo and Unconventional by Maggie Harcourt. They are all so brilliant and different. If you haven't picked up any of these books I can't recommend them enough! I probably talk about them quite a lot.
One book I have been wanting to read from them, one that came out in 2014 is Anna And The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. Everyone I know has read and adored this book and I haven't even bought it yet! I know I will love it but, I don't know what is stopping me. I think I may treat myself to it and the others for Christmas.
Okay, lets go on to their upcoming releases. I have been really lucky to receive an proof of one of their 2018 releases. The Extinction Trials by Susan Wilson. I believe this is out near the end of December/January. I am currently halfway through this book and I can tell it is going to be a big hit next year. They recently released a sampler where you can read a bit from their upcoming books and can I say how excited I am for these books?! We have The Unpredictability of Being Human by Linni Ingemundsen which is out in January, Orphan Monster Spy by Matt Killeen out March, Slay by Kim Curran out May, Theatrical by Maggie Harcourt out July and I am too excited for this book! Adore Maggie's books and finally from the sampler we have Rosie Loves Jack by debut author Mel Darbon which sounds heartbreakingly beautiful.
So, what books have you read and loved from Usborne? The whole team are lovely and I always think its great to our love and appreciation for them and their books. I cannot wait for their new releases and see what else they have coming out for us. I am also very excited a book that came out from then recently which is Carnival Of Monsters by Andrew Beasley.
