A compelling novel about friendship, family secrets and second chances, set against the backdrop of southern Italy.
Sandy is in her fifties, and at a crossroads in her life: she's a teacher and respected by her pupils, but she feels she is being sidelined in favour of younger colleagues. So when her mother dies, leaving her a sealed envelope addressed to an unknown woman living in Naples, Sandy decides to head to Italy to resolve the mystery by delivering the letter herself.
She books herself on to a small sightseeing trip from Rome to Naples and the Amalfi Coast, hoping to meet some like-minded people along the way. Who is the mysterious woman she is searching for? And will Sandy find friendship, or even love, along the way...?

I give it - 4/5
My review - What a wonderful, beautiful story. Fanny is an amazing storyteller and I was instantly captivated from the first page and just enjoyed every second of it.
In this book we follow Sandy. Her mother Miriam has just passed and she finds a letter to a woman called Anna in her mother's draws. Sandy has questions about who this woman is, why this letter was never sent and what the connection is. Her mothers final words where 'Find Her' so, she starts a mission to find this woman and to get some answers. Maybe even about her family and why her and her mother didn't have the best relationship and she never knew a lot about her past.
Sandy books a trip to Italy. This isn't just a trip to find this woman it is also a trip to clear her head. Figure out the truth and even just relax. This wasn't just a journey to find Anna it was also a personal journey for Sandy herself. I really enjoyed reading about her exploring and the descriptive writing of Italy. It made me want to book a trip straight away. I also really enjoyed reading about the other people she met on this trip and their story. It was really interesting and I liked that it wasn't just a story about finding this person straight away. It is a journey story and beautiful trip around Italy that has me wanting to go badly.
A beautiful story from Fanny that will keep you gripped from the beginning. It is filled with family, secrets, relationships, exploring and so much more.
