My review

I give it - 4/5

My review - What a beautiful, emotional story. It was gripping, a book that will have you glued to the book and keep reading to find out what will happen. It is a very amazing page-turner.

In this story we have two sisters. Lexie and Annie. They haven't seen each other in over 2 years and one night Lexie receives a call from Annie. She needs her. Annie is pregnant, she is almost at due when she starts having complications that puts her and her baby at risk. Annie has caused problems for Lexie in the past but, she doesn't want to abandon her sister when she needs her even if Annie's addiction almost cost Lexie everything.

We get their past and present stories. About their childhood and what happened for them to be so polar opposite and the things that happened to them in their lives for things to change so drastically and with Annie's addiction she is facing a lot more than she thought, with her child in danger she could also risk jail time and things start to get more shocking and tense throughout the story.

We get to read about these two characters more in depth. About how Annie went of the rails, how she doesn't trust a lot of people and why she changed. Lexie, who wanted the best for herself, to get herself out of a situation she didn't want to be in and wanted a better life. How she's conflicted about helping her sister. She wants her sister to get out of this addiction but, you can only help someone so much if they don't try as well.

This book has moments that just make you want to hug these sisters. To tell them it's going to be okay. A story about an impossible decision and it was just so beautifully written and heart wrenching that I can't recommend it enough!
