My review - A book about second chances at love. That is if the lies don't ruin it before it even starts. The Duke of Grayland has a moment with Miss Cassandra Blake. She is charming and beautiful and gets under his skin. But, after one night she leaves and the Duke feels his heart shatter into a thousand pieces.
Years pass and the Duke and Cassandra run into each other again. She needs help and turns to the Duke. She lied and betrayed him in the past but, in this moment she needs him more than ever. He promises to help her until her debts are paid but, time passes and the real Cassandra starts to show her sweet self. Her self that she doesn't show many and before the Duke knows it, she starts to get under his skin again but, with all the lies and deceit in the past, can he get past it and finally be with the woman he loves? Or will her betrayal ruin everything?

Cassandra has done things in her past that she isn't proud off but at the end of the day, she is still alive. She does things for survival and because of it she is more street smart, stronger and in the end she deserves happiness's. Alex, the Duke, he wants to fight for his love. He's been hurt, felt unworthy of love but, he was just so lovable and I was rooting for both of them throughout this book.

This was a fantastic historical romance novel and I just adored every second of it!

My review - Such a fantastic book. I really enjoyed the second book in this series. It was fast-paced, full of drama, romance and just had me gripped from the beginning and I didn't stop until the book was over. Eva is such an amazing author who really knows how to grip the reader with her writing.

Christopher or Kit as he's known is a war veteran and earned the title of Earl of Blakemere. He is having a hard time and tends to do things to forget his nightmares and times at war. He finds out that a mentor has left him a hefty sum in his will and Kit is very happy about that until he releases that to get the money he needs to marry before the month is up and this is where he meets Tamsyn. She is in London to find a buyer for her smuggled goods. She needs to get enough money to get out of the business and finally buy a house and then she meets Kit.

He needs someone to marry and offers her money in return. But, once they are married they find out the other clause in the will. Tamsyn will be in control of the money. Kit tries to woo her as he wants to build a pleasure garden and Tamsyn hasn't told him the real reason she needs the money. He wants to get under her skin so when she falls for him she won't be able to say no to giving him the money but, as time passes and they get to know each other more Kit is the one who starts to have more feelings and feels Tamsyn get under his skin.

Can they both get what they want without getting hurt? Or will secrets come out and change everything.

I just really enjoyed this book. Even though there was a lot of stuff going on it really comes together at the end and ties up nicely. I really enjoyed these characters. Tamsyn just wants the best for her village and wants to make sure she has enough to buy her family home without getting caught with her smuggling. Kit just wants happiness's after dealing with his nightmares but afraid what will happen  when he tells Tamsyn the truth.

In the end they both deserve happiness's and they will do what they can. I really enjoyed both of these characters and just couldn't help rooting for them throughout this story.

A fantastic new book from Eva that I can't recommend enough!
