Three generations of Stewart women, all with secrets to keep…
Matriarch Nancy knows she hasn't been the best mother but how can she ever tell her daughters the reason why? Lauren and Jenna are as close as two sisters can be and they made a pact years ago to keep a devastating secret from their mother – but is it time to come clean? Lauren's teenage daughter Mackenzie masks her own pain by keeping her mother at a distance. Her mother, aunt and grandmother keep trying to reach her but will it take a stranger to show her the true meaning of family?
When life changes in an instant, the Stewart women are thrown together for a summer and suddenly they must relearn how to be a family. And whilst unravelling their secrets might be their biggest challenge, it could also be their finest moment . . .

I give it - 5/5
My review - I adore Sarah. She has to be one of my all time favourite authors. Her books always captivate me, full of amazing characters and the stories are always so good and How To Keep A Secret is no different! It has to be my favourite book by Sarah. It was wonderful, the characters, the family relationship and just everything. I was gripped from the first page, I really liked how we had different chapters from each of the women. It really gave you an insight to each of their lives and I just adored it.
In this book we have Nancy, her two daughters Jenna and Lauren and Lauren's daughter Mack. 3 generations, they have lived their lives withholding secrets from each other but, when something tragic happens they all find themselves back home with their mother and things are about to change. Jenna and Lauren have a great relationship, they have a secret from when they where younger and they have been hiding it ever since to protect Nancy. They are the best of sisters but, even they are hiding secrets from each other. Nancy has something she has to tell her daughters, she is scared but, she knows she has too. Mack has just found out something that has changed her life, she is in a new place, new school, and with this new information she doesn't know what to do. She knows she can talk to her mother but, some times she just wants to be by herself to figure things out.
I adored this book. I adored the relationships between all these women. Lauren and Jenna have a great relationship, always there for each other, the best of friends. They didn't have the best relationship with Nancy growing up but, things have changed, things have came to light and they feel closer than ever. Mack and Lauren have a strong relationship. They argue, make up, fight, cuddle and do things every mother and daughter do. They say things they don't mean but, they know they both love each other and Lauren would do anything for her daughter. She knows she has been hiding something from her but, she wants to do what she can to protect her. Jenna is coming to terms with things that are happening and she doesn't know how to control them.
They all have their secrets, something they are scared to share but, they know they have to come clean to move on. They are finally together and can they reveal their secrets? Will the truth finally be told?
Another wonderful book by Sarah. I love how this is centred around family relationships, and female family relationships. Mothers and daughters, grandmothers and granddaughters, the ups and downs of those relationships. How they argue, fight, cry but, are always there for each other when they need each other. I adore the characters. I just wanted to give them all a big hug as the book went on and things started to change.
A wonderful book about family relationships and secrets. A must read for Sarah Morgan fans and I just think everyone needs to read this book!
