Bestselling author Maria V. Snyder transports readers back to the realms of Sitia and Ixia in an exciting new Study novel full of magic, danger and intrigue. Ever since being kidnapped from the Illiais Jungle as a child, Yelena Zaltana's life has been fraught with peril. But the recent loss of her Soulfinding abilities has endangered her more than ever before. As she desperately searches for a way to reclaim her magic, her enemies are closing in, and neither Ixia nor Sitia are safe for her anymore. BUY HERE! I adore Maria V. Snyder and I was so happy when I got asked to be a part of the blog tour for her new book NIGHT STUDY! This series is the series that got me into reading and I always seem to re-read because I just love it, and to make this more exciting I got to interview Maria as well! 1. I love that you decided to carry on with this series, what made you want to write about the wonderful Yelena and co again? MVS: My readers! They begged. They pleaded. They sent me hundreds of emails. They made puppy dog eyes at me. I couldn’t resist those puppy dog eyes. J Also I sparked on an idea for a new story and I wanted to explore Valek’s past. 2. What can we expect from Night Study? MVS: It picks up right after Shadow Study ends. Yelena and Valek chase after Owen and company and also have to figure out how to deal with The Cartel, who are intent on controlling all the magicians and taking over Sitia. Lots of action and POVs from Yelena, Valek, Janco and Leif for the first time. 3. What are some of your favourite books? MVS: Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, Jaran by Kate Elliott, The Gate to Women’s Country by Sheri S. Tepper, Dragonflight by Anne McCaffrey, Time of the Dark by Barbara Hambly, Soulless by Gail Carriger, and Glass Houses by Rachel Caine. 4. Who inspires you? MVS: I’m inspired by a variety of things. Movies, other authors, magazine articles, TV shows, and live theatre can all spark an idea. My children and family have given me lots of encouragement and support. Traveling is great for my writer’s soul. When I was a teen, I read a bunch of mysteries by Dick Francis. I really liked his use of first person POV and the way he ended his chapters with mini-cliff-hangers. My style is very similar so he inspired the way I structure my books. 5. If you could be any character from your books who would you be and why? MVS: Yelena of course! Why? One word: Valek ;) Big thank you to Maria for being on my blog today! My review~I was sent a copy from the publishers, this in no way affects my opinion~ I give it - 5/5 My review - IT IS SO GREAT TO BE BACK IN THIS WORLD! When I found out Maria was writing another three books I might have squealed...a lot. This is my favourite series ever and it is the series that got me into reading so, it was just amazing to back with Yelena, Valek and co! In Night Study it follows straight after Shadow Study and after I re-read that before Night Study it just flowed amazingly. If you have never read these books then I won't spoil you but I will tell you what this series is about - Yelena is in the dungeons then one day she get's chosen as a food taster for the commander of Ixia. She has to get use to all the taste of all the poisons and some of them could kill her, but it is the risk she has to take to not be back in the dungeons waiting to get hung. Valek *dreamy sigh* is the one who has to train Yelena of the poisons and with them coming together a lot more things come to life, mainly with Yelena's past and where she's from. Night Study was just everything I hoped it would be and more! I loved all the different POV's in this book, especially my favourite - Janco. Plus getting a POV from Leif was really interesting and it was great seeing what was going through his mind. I love Yelena and Valeks relationship, you think, after 5 books one might feel like it was dragging, but it's not. Their relationship is one for the ages, they are still facing many obstacles but you know with them two they can get through almost anything...I hope for future books! Night Study was just the perfect book and I can feel a re-read coming on soon. As soon as I started it I was transported back to this world and I didn't want to leave, even when the book ended I just couldn't do it. The story is filled with magic, love, relationships, laughs and a lot of kickass action. So if you've never read this series then pick up these books you will not be disappointed by this amazing fantasy series. Also, the ending has left me NEEDING more, I don't think I can wait a year. Just brilliant! FOLLOW THE TOUR HERE!

Gah I really need to catch up! I still haven't read Shadow Study. When I finished the Study series, I was so sad to leave Ixia and I wished I knew what Valek was thinking throughout the book. I am so glad she decided to write more about this world and explore Valek's character!
