Fran has always wanted to be a farmer. And now it looks as if her childhood dream is about to come true. She has just moved in to a beautiful but very run-down farm in the Cotswolds, currently owned by an old aunt who has told Fran that if she manages to turn the place around in a year, the farm will be hers. But Fran knows nothing about farming. She might even be afraid of cows. She's going to need a lot of help from her best friend Issi, and also from her wealthy and very eligible neighbour - who might just have his own reasons for being so supportive. Is it the farm he is interested in? Or Fran herself?

I give it - 5/5
My review - What another wonderful book from Katie Fforde.
Like her other books this one is was filled with interesting characters and a story that keeps you hooked from the beginning. This book was so fun and it was full of drama, romance, laughs and cows.
Fran has 1 year to get the farm back to the way it is and, if she sorts it out she will inherit the farm. She use to visit when she was little and her relative is sick and there wasn't really anyone else willing to look after it. Fran is a chef and she loves baking. This farm is a big change for her but, she is willing to take on the challenge. There is just one road block - her neighbour.
He is successful and wealthy and has his eyes on the farm. Fran is weary of him but can't control the way she feels about him. He's good looking and knows all the right things to say.
Can she save this farm? Or will her neighbour give her an offer she can't refuse? Is he hiding something? Or is he doing it just for her?
Such a fun book. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. Fran was so fun and I enjoyed reading about her journey in this book. She has a strong head on her shoulder and has such a good friendship with Issi.
Another fantastic book from Katie Fforde that will just keep you hooked from the beginning and make you feel like you're on your own country escape.
