American Royals review

Meet the Washingtons - the most scandalous royal family ever!

HRH Princess Samantha has always been a royal rebel. She's the spare not the heir, so no one minds too much who she dates or how hard she parties.
It helps that her sister, Princess Beatrice, is literally perfect. She's demure, sweet and beautiful, and she knows that the crown always comes first - no matter what her heart might really want.
But they're not the only ones with their eye on the throne. Daphne Deighton might be 'newly noble' but she won Prince Jefferson's heart once, and she'll do anything to get back into the court's favour - and his bed.
If only she knew that her competition was a common nobody - plain little Nina Gonzalez, the daughter of the king's secretary.
Together these four young women must navigate the drama, gossip, scheming and sizzling romance of the most glorious court in the world. There's everything to play for - but there can only be one queen.

My review
- I need the next one asap.
Probably one of my favourite reads of this year and I just couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed that we had chapters from 4 of the characters as each of them where hiding something big and there is only so long you can keep a secret before the truth comes out.

In this book we follow Beatrice, who is next in line to become Queen. Samantha, her younger sister who gets looked over and usually told off, Nina, Sam's best friend who she has known for years since her mother got a job at the palace and Daphne, the girl who dated their brother, Sam's twin, Jeff before they broke up.
Beatrice is the perfect daughter, she has been brought up and taught things to be prepared to become queen but, the one thing she is missing is a partner. Her parents have gave her a list of suitors who she needs to 'interview' to find her king but, for Beatrice she knows she has to put the crown and country first instead of her heart and what she truly wants.
Sam is totally different from her sister and prepares to rebel and party even if she does get in trouble. She is always up for going out with her twin even if they do the same thing and she get's worse off for it.
Nina is Sam's best friend ever since her mother got a job at the palace 12 years ago. She wants to stay out of the spotlight but, adores spending her time with Sam and Jeff. But, something happened recently and they haven't been as close.
Daphne is hiding a secret. Her and Jeff dated once and she wants to get him back. She is willing to do anything to get him back.

People are always watching the court, finding out what these girls are up too and who their with so they have learned to be careful. But, each of them are hiding a secret that could change everything. Feelings will be hurt, the lies, scheming and drama might be a bit too much for these girls to handle but, they are willing to do what they can to make sure the scandals aren't let loose.

I adored this book. I loved reading about each of the girls and their lives. Each chapter from each of them gave more of their story and depth to these characters. I really enjoyed reading and learning about each of them and their stories. It was such an interesting book and I just need the next one badly. A story of drama, scandals, lies and how far families and friends will go to hide the truth.

It was a fantastic read with a bunch of fantastic characters that I just adore. I need more and I just cannot wait for the sequel to be out and to see where Katherine takes it. The ending just blew me away. The writing flew nicely and I was gripped from the beginning and couldn't put it down. I was swept away in this royal lifestyle with these women and I just adored every second of it.

A brilliant read from Katherine that you all need to pick up when it's out!
