Spinster Club girls Evie, Amber and Lottie are reunited for the mother of all New Year's Eve parties. Having spent months apart since finishing college, they've got plenty to catch up on: how is Evie juggling a relationship with her OCD? Does Amber plan to spend more time with Kyle in America? And where did Lottie end up? Get ready for some serious partying - and some major New Year's revelations - from everyone's favourite cheesy-snack-loving feminists.
My review - I am so sad this is the end of the spinster girls. I absolutely adored the first three books, learning about each girl and the journeys they go on and the friendship they make and the fact that they are kickass feminist! And I am just so sad that this will be the last of them but it was such a great ending and a wonderful goodbye to these lovely ladies.
In this novella we are following all three girls at a New Years party at Amber's. Each hour we have a chapter from Evie, Amber and Lottie and find out a little bit more about what's been going on in their lives since WAGGD and their time at University. They are all hiding secrets from each other, secrets they need to tell each other but afraid that the others will not want to stay friends anymore.
This book is full of friendship, romance, feminism, a beautiful friendship, mental health and relationships. It was all wonderfully wrapped up within this book and I love that we got a chapter from each girl at each hour, before they go to the party, during the party and what happens at midnight. Even though these girls have spent months apart you can tell they have all missed each other but, they're growing older and their lives are changing-will they stay the spinster girls forever?
I just love how Holly writes. I was gripped from the beginning and I didn't want to put it down whatsoever. It was just so great to read about these girls again and find out what has been happening, and about their relationships. Holly is able to capture all the emotions of these girls and I so wish I had these books when I was a teenager as they are just my favourite and the novella made me tear up a bit with how happy it made me. Certain events happen but these girls will always be there for one another, being the kickass girls we know and love.
