When young Anna inherits a dilapidated once-grand hotel from her Great Aunt Mathilde, she's determined to restore it to its former glory. But this is no ordinary hotel - all of her staff and guests are animals! Anna soon rises to the challenge. Whether it's a flamingo, a penguin or a hippo knocking at the door, Anna is ready to welcome them all - with the help of her trusty sidekicks T Bear the doorman, Squeak the friendly elevator mouse, and Lemmy the lemur receptionist ... As she soon finds out, though, running an animal hotel is no easy task. Can Anna make Hotel Flamingo a success once more?

My review - This was such an enjoyable read. It was so fun and original and I can't wait for my nephew to read it as I know he will just it adore is as I did.
Anna inherits a grand hotel but sadly, it isn't so grand anymore. Anna is determined to restore it to its glory. The staff aren't normal staff, they are all animals! They are all determined to come together and make this place amazing again and make it feel like a home. They are all willing to work hard to do this and make their dreams come true.
I adored all of the characters. Each character was so interesting and this book had me awing and laughing out loud a lot. It was fantastic and just overall really enjoyable.
New Year's Eve, San Francisco.
The most promising party of the year ends in tragedy.
Georgina is gone and nothing will bring her back.
Nine months later, Cara's mother decides a Swiss boarding school will be the fresh start Cara needs. Up in the Alps, Cara's old life feels a million miles away. Nobody at Hope Hall knows her past – and she intends to keep it that way.
Yet, as much as she keeps her distance, her new friends break down the walls she has so carefully built up – especially the offbeat, straight-talking Hector, who understands how she feels better than anyone. But the closer Cara grows to Hector, the more her old life slips away.
Embracing life at Hope Hall means letting go of the past. With Georgina gone, how can Cara allow herself this second chance?
