My review - What an interesting opening to a new series! This book has set up a good pace for this series and has got me hooked to see what happens. The characters are interesting and the plot is very intriguing. It is very different from some books I've read before and the fact it's a series has gotten me excited as I ready to read more about these characters and the outcome of certain things!
The world that has been created is so wonderful, creative, imaginative and really interesting. I am always amazed by authors who create their own worlds. I have trouble thinking up a plot for a place I know let alone creating a new world with all these different aspects of it and Josh has done an amazing job at that.
Two girls have been picked to fight. What are they fighting for? Well, they don't know. They come from different nations and when they turn 18 they will battle. Both of these girls are very different from each other with one being stubborn and outgoing the other is quiet and fragile. But, both have have something the other has to be the winner they know they can be.
I also love how in this world you can love anyone you want. There is no questioning about people's sexuality and it is how the world should be where people can be free to love who they want without being worried about what people think.
A brilliant new start to a series I know I am going to love. It was interesting, the characters are different but, they have their flaws, they want to be able to do what they can. A story full of mysteries, secrets and twist!
