Assassin's Creed
by
Anthony Del Col and Conor McCreery
illustrated by
Neil Edwards and Ivan Nunes

Picture

Charlotte de la Cruz is overeducated and underemployed, wasting her time in a dead-end job in San Diego, and spending her free time chasing down conspiracy theories on the dark side of the internet.
When a real-life conspiracy crashes into her life, she's pulled into the orbit of the Assassins, a mysterious organisation of principled killers with roots stretching back thousands of years – and users of the stolen Animus technology, which allows them to experience the memories of their ancestors as if they were there!
Charlotte has a secret in her blood... the genetic memory of an ancestor who was in Salem at the time of the infamous witch trails: Tom Stoddard, an Assassin who witnessed a dark act with repercussions for the present day!
As Charlotte is trained in the Assassins' art, and as she begins to investigate the life of her ancestor... the forces of the Templar Order move against her. Will Charlotte learn the skills she needs to survive, and the truth she needs to prove her worth - before the Templars silence her forever?!

My review

~ I was sent a copy of this comic from the publishers, this in no way impacts my review~

I give it - 5/5

My review - It has been a long time since I have read a comic. Especially a great comic like this.

I am a big fan of Assassin's Creed. I adore the games so I was very excited when this, surprisingly, came through my mail box. It was a very nice surprise!

The first thing that had me drawn to this comic was the cover, the fact that there was a female assassin on the front. That had me very intrigued and I couldn't wait to get stuck into it!

In this comic we follow Charlotte, she is very smart and works at a job she's too good for. She is then scouted by the brotherhood for her ancestors memories. She has an ancestor who was an assassin.

This comic was 1 of 5 and it was very quick but very good and it left me wanting more! I enjoyed all of the comic as I think Charlotte is a great main character and I cannot wait to see how she gets on with the training and if she survives with the Templars hot on her trail.

The illustrations where beautiful in this comic! Neil and Ivan did a brilliant job!

All in all, a great start to a mini-series that I am very excited to see how it goes!
