Chase your dreams. Dance under the stars. Fall in love at the festival of Burning Moon.
WARNING: Being jilted at the altar in front of 500 wedding guests can lead to irrational behaviour, such as going on your honeymoon to Thailand alone.
On the way to paradise, symptoms may include getting arrested, setting yourself on fire, turning up on a 'Missing Poster' and going viral.
Side-effects may include desert island stranding, star gazing and jungle trekking.
Recovery will lead to partying the night away at Burning Moon festival - and falling in love with the person you least expect...
I give it - 5/5
My review - Another wonderful book from Jo. A book you can just escape with the character. It is wonderful, filled with a beautiful place, fab characters and just so much more.
In this book we follow Lilly. Sadly, she has just been jilted at her own wedding. The ex-groom isn't answering any messages, isn't posting on social media, he has just disappeared. Lilly is heartbroken and very angry. She wants answers but, she also wants to get away from it all. So, she goes on her honeymoon by herself to Thailand. After an embarrassing flight, and a picture that might have gone viral, she is in Thailand. She is a bit of a mess but, here she meets Damien.
Damien is the complete opposite of what Lilly looks for in men but, she can't help but not feel attracted to him and feel a connection. They start to spend time together, Damien is currently backpacking with friends and he is having the time of his life and meeting Lilly has just added to this amazing time he is having.
They start to spend time together but, what happens when Lilly has to go home? Or when Damien moves onto the next country on his list? Lilly and Damien have a connection, they both feel a spark but, will their two different lives pull them apart from each other?
I adore this book. It was such a fantastic read. Lilly is a wonderful character. She is getting over something horrific. Getting jilted on your wedding is something you never want to happen. But, maybe it was a good thing it happened though? She is strong. She had her cry and thought to herself, I will take myself away, refresh and get over what happened. Damien is also a wonderful character. I love him, he is definitely the type of book guy I love and want. He is very loving and kind. He knows how to have fun and meeting Lilly is something he would never thought would happen.
A wonderful book from Jo and I just adored every second of it. It is fun, full of amazing characters, has it's very hysterical moments and of course a lot of flirting and romance.
