Chasers Of The Light Poems From The Typewriter Series by Tyler Knott Gregson
I would love to say that you make me weak at the knees, but to be quite upfront and completely truthful, you make my body forget it has knees at all. One day, while browsing an antique store in Helena, Montana, photographer Tyler Knott Gregson stumbled upon a vintage Remington typewriter for sale. Standing up and using a page from a broken book he was buying for $2, he typed a poem without thinking, without planning, and without the ability to revise anything. He fell in love. Three years and almost one thousand poems later, Tyler is now known as the creator of theTypewriter Series: a striking collection of poems typed onto found scraps of paper or created via blackout method. Chasers of the Light features some of his most insightful and beautifully worded pieces of work - poems that illuminate grand gestures and small glimpses, poems that celebrate the beauty of a life spent chasing the light.
~I was sent a free copy of this book, this in no way impacts my review~
I give it - 5/5
My review - I adored this book so much. It was so beautiful and I really enjoyed reading all the different poems in this book. I would love to see the original pieces of paper he wrote the poems on.
This is one of my favourite poems in the book as I find it so beautiful. I think Tyler has really bared his heart with writing all these poems. Plus, it is very unique! How he has just found any scraps of paper and wrote a lovely poem on each one! I really enjoyed reading all off them. I didn't read them all in one day as I wanted to savour it all when I read them.
All in all, this is a beautiful book of poems that I really think everyone would enjoy! You will love each of them as they will move you when you reading them.
