Run for the hills temporarily. That's Colbie Albright's plan when she flees New York for San Francisco. Wrangling her crazy family by day and writing a bestselling YA fantasy series by night has taken its toll. In short, Colbie's so over it that she's under it. She's also under the waters of a historic San Francisco fountain within an hour of arrival. Fortunately, the guy who fishes Colbie out has her looking forward to Christmas among strangers. But she's pretty sure Spencer Baldwin won't be a stranger for long. Spence's commitment to hiding from the Ghosts of Relationships Past means he doesn't have to worry about the powerful - OK, crazy hot - chemistry he's got with Colbie. Just because she can laugh at anything, especially herself...just because she's gorgeous and a great listener...just because she gets Spence immediately doesn't mean he won't be able to let Colbie go. Does it? Now the clock's ticking for Colbie and Spence: Two weeks to cut loose. Two weeks to fall hard. Two weeks to figure out how to make this Christmas last a lifetime.

I give it - 4/5
My review - Ah another Jill Shalvis book I devoured. I can honestly say she is my favourite romance author. I'm not kidding when I say I have a shelf dedicated to her books and I still have loads more to buy from her.
In this book we follow Colbie and Spencer. Colbie needs to get away. She is feeling the weight of the world on shoulders, with her job and family, she needs to get away and spend some time on herself. On her first visit to San Fran she is knocked into a fountain by a dog and the person looking after the dog makes her a bit speechless. Spencer has many talents and trying to hide away from the prying eye is one of them. After an interview goes wrong the whole world wants to know about him and he just wants to be left alone but, the attraction with Colbie is almost instant.
Spencer and Colbie start to spend time together. They let each other in but, hide a few secrets from each other. I mean, they only have a few weeks with each other so there's no point finding out too much about each other as they won't see each other again, will they?
Can they let their feelings go after their time is up and Colbie goes back to New York? Or will they give into temptation and let each other show how they really feel? How will Spencer feel when he finds out who Colbie is and about her insecurities? Or will they hold her back?
A wonderful, Christmassy novel from Jill. I enjoyed every moment of it. It really showed some great friendships between the characters and also family relationships and the ups and downs of them!
If you're looking for a cute Christmas read then I can't recommend this enough.
Also-I'm going to start a list on my reviews of Jills books to tick of ones I've read to keep track aha!
