Where one gang of criminals knows just how being bad can be so good...She knows what he's like on Boston's mean streets. Now she's going to find out if he has some heart. Lucas Donahue is not ashamed of his criminal past, but after a brief stint in prison, he's ready to go legit and live a normal life. The problem is, no one leaves the gang without permission - even if he is one of the boss's top men. Plus someone's placed a hit on him. And then there's that feisty little bartender who's going to cause him even more trouble. Heidi Greene knows to keep her distance from a ladies' man like Lucas - even if she can't keep her eyes off him. When he rescues her from an attack in the alley outside her bar, she's forced to stay by his side for safety. But the longer she spends time with him, the greater her chances are for getting hurt in more ways than one. The stakes are dangerously high...and the passion is seriously intense.

My review

~I was sent a  copy from the publishers-all opinions are my own~

I give it - 4/5

My review - This was a great, fast-paced, romance story and I loved it. It is full of drama, danger, sex and two people trying to protect each other.

Heidi Greene works at a bar and her life drastically changes one night when she gets attacked and then Lucas Donahue comes in and saves her. Not knowing that him saving her has made her a target. Lucas is one of the top men in his gang and he wants to leave. Too bad there is someone who wants him dead and now they know Heidi is with him they want her gone too. Both in danger, this will bring them closer but, Lucas doesn't want this relationship but there is something about Heidi that calls to him. They argue a lot but  both of their hearts are in the right place.

Will they be able to survive this? Or will someone close to Lucas kill them both before they have a chance to survive?

I really loved this book, which is the first book in the Sons Of Steel Row series, and the ending has really got me excited to see what happens next with certain characters. The ending was great and surprising that is why I cannot wait to pick up the next one.

This book was so gripping and dark. About two people trying to fight their feelings and also fighting the people trying to kill them. Heidi didn't expect or want any of this but it led her to Lucas.

If you love a fast-paced, dangerous, romance, fantastic book then this is the book for you! I cannot wait to see where Jen goes with the rest of the series and all these dangerous characters!
