Under siege. That's how Ryker Jones feels. The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency he opened up with his blood brothers has lost a client in a brutal way. The past he can't outrun is resurfacing, threatening to drag him down in the undertow. And the beautiful woman he's been trying to keep at arm's length is in danger...and he'll destroy anything and anyone to keep her safe.
Paralegal Zara Remington is in over her head. She's making risky moves at work by day and indulging in an affair with a darkly dangerous PI by night. There's a lot Ryker isn't telling her and the more she uncovers, the less she wants to know. But when all hell breaks loose, Ryker may be the only one to save her. If his past doesn't catch up to them first...

My review - So, I need the next one asap.

I've been a big romance binge lately and this one was just really good! It was more than romance, it filled with drama, murder and so much more.

Zara and Ryker have an agreement. Just sex. But, when Zara, who helping a friend who she shouldn't really be helping because of her job, gets in trouble it's Ryker who saves her. Ryker has a past, a past he doesn't like to share and he's running from something. He doesn't do relationships as he knows letting women into his life will make it dangerous for them. Someone is after him and his brothers but, someone is after Zara. Ryker is about to put away his past and look towards his future. Is he ready to stop running and help the woman he possibly in love with? Or, will it put her in more danger.

I just loved this book. I really like the relationship between the brothers. They have all be threw so much and it looks like it isn't over for them just yet. Zara just wants to help her friend but, by doing so she gets herself into some danger. Some danger that will put not only her life on the line but, the people she loves.

This book is fast paced and full of romance, steamy scenes and about two people who are going through something dangerous and they have to do what they can to save themselves. I love the chemistry between them both and Zara isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She is trying to do the right thing and tries to see the best in people but, she knows she can only do so much and with what is going on her life she will do what she can to survive and protect the people she loves.

Dangerous, sexy, hilarious at times, all you need is a glass of wine and you're good to go!
