I give it - 5/5
My review - What a beautiful, heartfelt story. It had me tearing up at times. It was just so wonderful. I flew right threw the story and I just wanted to give all these characters a big hug.
In this book we have 3 siblings who have never met. Grace, Maya and Joaquin where all separated when they where younger but, once they are all a little older Grace decides to reach out to her siblings. They all have their similarities, they have things in common and, they are dealing with different things in their life. Grace got pregnant by her ex and gave the baby up for adoption. She is still coming to terms with what happened and because of these feelings she is having she wants to find her birth mother. Maya loves the family who adopted her but, the most perfect family can have secrets and Joaquin doesn't like getting attached to anyone. After a mishap when he was younger he's afraid to get attached and be adopted. Even though he loves the people who have fostered, his past scares him.
They seem to all fall into the sibling routine. You can tell they all care for each and watch out for each other. But, they are hiding secrets from each other and Grace is the only one who wants to find their birth mother. Even though they all have family that love them, they feel a connection with each other. Can they find more family with each other? Or will hiding secrets make them loose the trust between each other?
I just adored this book. Each sibling had their own quirk but, they where so much like each other with their humour etc. They have all been through a tough time in their life but, finally having each other, someone they can talk to about how they grew up, helps them. They all have their problems and just like siblings they bicker but they love each other.
This is a book about siblings who find their way back after a tough time. It shows all the different sides of children in the foster care system. Kids who get adopted straight away to some who don't get adopted and just bounce around different foster homes. It shows that even the most perfect families have secrets and also the bond between these siblings. They seem to just connect and really show their love and support for each other during their hard times.
