Picture
Will a budding wedding planner and her bad boy neighbour stop banging heads and start hearing wedding bells? For fans of Jill Shalvis, Julie James and Rachel Gibson. Heather Fowler is thrilled when she's promoted from assistant to Wedding Belles planner. Unfortunately, her first celebrity client demands an opulent affair at the Plaza...in three months. But what Heather finds herself really losing sleep over is the live music blaring from her playboy neighbour's apartment all night. Five years ago, Josh Tanner was a rising star on Wall Street. But a grim cancer diagnosis made him realize there's more to life than a penthouse and corner office. He kicked the cancer and dedicated his life to following his passions - the latest being to convince his pretty, workaholic neighbour to let loose too. He just doesn't expect to fall for the sweet, vulnerable woman hiding beneath the power suits. Soon it's Heather's turn to convince Josh to take the biggest risk of all: love.

My review - What a funny, sexy, heart felt story!

This is the second book in The Wedding Belles series but, you don't have to read it as a series as these books work as a standalone! I do like reading them as a series though as you will read about some main characters from previous books in different books and it could spoil you!

In this book we follow Heather. She recently joined The Wedding Belles and is currently a wedding planner assistant, one day she gets news that she will be planning a wedding for one of the biggest celebs out there - Dianca - but, she doesn't seem to interested in planning her wedding so Heather just does what she can. Be a wedding planner can be hard especially when you need to sleep and your hot neighbour decides to practice with his band at early hours of the morning. She knows she is attracted to Josh, her neighbour but they argue a lot but he loves to get a rise out of her and before they know it they hit it off and start to just have a none commitment relationship - just sex. They promise not to fall for each other, can they keep that promise? Or will love take over? And what is Josh hiding from Heather? Why did he quit his job and decide to just play in his band and sleep around before her? Can he keep this secret from her before it's too late and they get in too deep?

I love the relationship between Heather and Josh. He gets on her nerves but she enjoys it. She knows she shouldn't fall for him, with having a mother who constantly had different boyfriends and didn't have a loving relationship, she just wants to make it in the wedding planner world and she wasn't planning on love.

Josh doesn't want love. He was clear of cancer but he doesn't want to put anyone he loves through that like his family but his family knows he needs someone and he is just putting up walls.

This book had a lot of funny moments that had me laughing. Heart felt moments that just makes you want to just give these characters a big hug.

A wonderful story about finding love when you least expect it and about letting your walls down to be loved. I really loved this book and I cannot wait to read about the other characters in the next book when it is out! One of my new favourite series!
