Linny has been living life in black and white since her sister Grace ran away, and she's scared that Grace might never come back. When Linny witnesses the return to Miami of a cult movie star long presumed dead, she is certain it's a sign. Surely Alvaro Herrera, of all people, can tell her why people come back - and how to bring her sister home? Sebastian has come to Miami seeking his father, a man whose name he's only just learned. An aspiring astrophysicist, he can tell Linny how many galaxies there are, how much plutonium weighs and how likely she is to be struck by a meteorite. But none of the theories he knows are enough to answer his own questions about why his father abandoned him, and why it left him in pieces. As Sebastian and Linny converge around the mystery of Alvaro's disappearance - and return - their planets start to collide. Linny's life is about to become technicolor, but finding the answers to her questions might mean losing everything that matters.

My review

~I was sent a copy from the publishers-all opinions are my own~

I give it - 5/5

My review - THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING! A beautiful debut novel from Carlie and I so want more. I miss these characters and I need to know what happens to these characters in the future as I just want to carry on reading about them.

Also, I am so in love with this cover. It's so bright and goes so well with the story and is the perfect summer read when this comes out in June(not long to go and I recommend you all pick it up when it's out!) I can tell I will be re-reading it in the summer.

In this book we meet Linny. Linnys sister Grace has gone missing and her and her family have no idea where she has gone. It has only been a few months but, Linny can't cope with knowing that maybe her something bad has happened to her and starts making a list of people who have gone missing and then came back. She wants to know why they went in the first place and what brings them back. That is when she sees Alvaro Herrera, a writer who has been missing, and presumed dead, for years. He is checked into an old peoples home and Linny get's a part time job there to find out why Alvaro came back and hopefully give her some answers about her sister.

Sebastian has found out something about his life that he never knew before, who is real father is. He goes to Miami to try and get answers and that is when he meets Linny. They both have something major going on in their lives but they are brought together, by Alvaro and his disappearance, and try to investigate where he has been and the more time they spend together they get closer....can they open up about what has happened to them to each other and move forward? Or will secrets hold them back?

I really like how this story was told. It was duel POV so we have chapters from Linny and Sebastian. In Linnys chapters there are some parts that are set out as a scene in a play and also has headers of people who have disappeared and reappeared and for Sebastian we get Science facts. I really enjoyed those little parts as it was to do with each characters and showed abit more about them.

I just loved how this story went. A story of love, grief and trying to find what they've lost. Carlie has written a beautiful novel that I think everyone is going to love. I was gripped from the beginning and I couldn't put it down until I had finished. It was just so wonderful and I can't wait for this book to be out in the world and for everyone to read it and fall in love with these characters. It had me laughing and also squealing at certain parts. It is a fun YA novel with a lot of heart.
