Quinn Davis is the stereotypical tomboy who prefers to live her life quietly. Of course, it doesn't help that her heart has been hardened when it comes to devilishly handsome cowboys with silver tongues. That is, until Tate Montgomery rides back into town. Growing up, Tate only felt truly at home during the long, sweltering summers at his grandparents' farm in Pine Oak, Texas. Now, Tate has returned to his childhood sanctuary - although if he's honest, he's not just back for the wranglers and Stetsons. Quinn was a friend-turned-young-love who Tate lost when life threw him a curveball. But all it takes is one glance at the raven-haired beauty he did his best to forget for him to realize just how much he's been missing...Want more rugged, charismatic cowboys?

I give it - 5/5
My review - I so need to get the first book in this series. I loved reading about Quinn and Tate and what happened to them and where this story was going to take them.
In this story we follow the story of Quinn and Tate. Quinn grew up in Pine Oak and Tate use to visit his grandparents for the summer there and that's where he and Quinn met. They started as friends but one summer changed it for them. They decided to keep a long distant relationship until, after one summer Tate didn't come back. He didn't reply or message Quinn and she knew it was over and that she was heartbroken.
Fast forward a few years. Quinn is working as a mechanic and still Pine Oak when she gets a call about fixing an old truck and she knows instantly who it is. Quinn is annoyed that he called her and even more annoyed that she still finds him attractive and her feelings for him are still there. When she finally meets up with him, will she get her answers of why he left all those years ago? What is Tate hiding? Did he want to leave her, or was there something else that was pushing him away?
I loved this story. It got me out of a little reading slump that I was in and I read it one sitting. It was so fun and full of love, drama, family relationships and so much more. I love the Quinns brothers and I really want to read their books!
A wonderful, fast-paced book from Harper and I cannot wait to read more from her.
