Lois Lane Fallout
by
Gwenda Bond

Picture
Lois Lane is starting a new life in Metropolis. An Army brat, Lois has lived all over--and seen all kinds of things. (Some of them defy explanation, like the near-disaster she witnessed in Kansas in the middle of one night.) But now her family is putting down roots in the big city, and Lois is determined to fit in. Stay quiet. Fly straight. As soon as she steps into her new high school, though, she can see it won't be that easy. AÂ group known as the Warheads is making life miserable for another girl at school. They're messing with her mind, somehow, via the high-tech immersive videogame they all play. Not cool. Armed with her wit and her new snazzy job as a reporter, Lois has her sights set on solving this mystery. But sometimes it's all a bit much. Thank goodness for her maybe-more-than-a friend, a guy she knows only by his screenname, SmallvilleGuy . . .

My review

~I was sent a free copy from the publishers to review, this in no way affects my opinion~

I give it - 5/5

My review - I didn't want this book to end! Defiantly one of the best books I have read this year.

I love Lois Lane so, when I found out that Gwenda was writing a book about her in her teenagers years I might of squealed.

Lois, in this book is basically a kick-ass character that I fell in love with. She starts a new school and decides to be 'normal' but when a group of people, who call themselves Warheads are terrorising students, she decides to intervene. She joins the teenage newspaper with a group of people and they decide to run the story on the Warheads, bullying, the game that this is all happening in and a lot more comes to light...but, these aren't her only problems! She talks to a guy online - SmallvilleGuy - who helps her a lot with what's going on with the Warheads but she still tries to figure out who this guy is and what he's hiding.

I didn't put this book down once until I finished it, it was so gripping and I loved the sense of humour in this book. I have so many sticky tabs on my favourite quotes and pages that I went through a lot, but I'm not going to tell you them as I want everyone to read this book and fall in love with it as much as I did.

I need the next one, it's unreal how badly I need more Lois Lane and her friends in my life.

Lois is a fantastic character. She is sarcastic, funny and very loyal to her friends. She stands up for what she believes in and won't stop until she finds out the truth about the situation she's in. It was so nice as well, reading about Lois who was so passoniate about working in the newsroom and always wanted to find out the truth and write her piece, it was just so great to read.

If you're looking for a brilliant read, about a teenage girl who is basically the hero of this story, a hero we could all look up to and love, then this is the story for you!
