Lord Of Shadows

Cassandra Clare

Picture
Emma Carstairs has finally avenged her parents. She thought she'd be at peace. But she is anything but calm. Torn between her desire for her parabatai Julian and her desire to protect him from the brutal consequences of parabatai relationships, she has begun dating his brother, Mark. But Mark has spent the past five years trapped in Faerie; can he ever truly be a Shadowhunter again? And the faerie courts are not silent. The Unseelie King is tired of the Cold Peace, and will no longer concede to the Shadowhunters' demands. Caught between the demands of faerie and the laws of the Clave, Emma, Julian, and Mark must find a way to come together to defend everything they hold dear-before it's too late.

My review

~I was sent a copy to review-all opinions are my own~

I give it
- 5/5

My review - WOW OH WOW!

I didn't think it would get any better after Lady Midnight but it did.
This won't have any spoilers as I know this book only recently came out and some people haven't even started the series yet but all I can say is that you won't be dissapointed.

If you've been wanting to read this book but haven't read the others then I suggest you do. These books will give you spoilers for TMI and TID so unless you don't want spoiling you've got some reading to do, and you won't regret it, these books are wonderful.

Lord Of Shadows was everything I needed right now. I have been waiting for this book ever since Lady Midnight and I was so lucky to receive an early copy. I dropped everything to read it as I just had to read it straight away. It took me a few days, because of work boo, but I got through it with tears. It was just amazing and wonderful and you can really see how Cassandra Clare has grown as a writer. It's hard to write this review without gushing about everything. I had to keep all my emotions in check when reading it at work.

It was so great to be back in the Shadowhunter world. Lady Midnight left me needing more and the ending of this book just destroyed me. It was wonderful and heartbreaking and I can't believe we have to wait a year for the next one. I'm already re-reading Lady Midnight on audiobook and I plan to audiobook Lord Of Shadows as well.

Cassandra Clare will grip you with her captivating writing and won't let go until you've finished. Lord Of Shadows is action-packed and a rollarcoaster of emotions that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Another brilliant book from Cassandra and possibly my favourite book of the year. It felt wonderful to read another one of her books and I'm so sad that it's only a trilogy(hopefully have more?) All the characters are wonderful and the world and their lives that she builds is just fantastic.

Again, if you've never started the Shadowhunter series I recommend you do. Each book just gets better and better and you'll get attached to all the characters, like me, and won't want to let this world go.
