My review - I ADORED this book.
I was meant to go to a festival this year and this is the perfect book to read if you missed out because of what is happening at the moment and it is also the perfect book for these summer nights. It just makes you want to grab your camping gear and head off to a festival and have the best time of your live.
Just like Nova in this book. She is such a wonderful main character. She has a wonderful relationship with her best friend and her family, her family who I adore! They all had an amazing relationship with each other and it was really lovely to read.
Nova has gone through some heartbreak. She is ready to head to several festivals with her family who will be running a food truck and just get away from the drama, the boys and have a great time with her family and her best friend. What she didn't account for was always running into the same boy at these festivals. A very cute American boy named Sam and they just can't stop running into each other at each festival. Something they have in common? They both love to sing. Sam loves to perform where Nova is very shy and doesn't like to perform in front of big crowds.
But, as the festivals past and feelings get involved things start to get serious but, Sam doesn't talk much about himself and his mysterious father who he is at the festivals with. What is he hiding?
I just love this book. It is such a good feel book and it makes me want to be back at festivals. The characters are lovable and so fun to follow. Nova and her family have such a fun relationship and I just love them. They make amazing food and coming to these festivals really helps them get their food out there and enter the competitions that they have. Nova and her best friend Gemma have a great friendship and I love how they are both there for each other and just love them.
This is the perfect summer read. It is feel-good, full of amazing characters, food, festivals, music and fab friends and family.
