And the new heavyweight champion of the world is...
Those are the words that Zeus Kincaid has been waiting to hear since he first put on a pair of boxing gloves. He just didn't think they would come with a tragedy that would change how he viewed the sport forever.
Cameron Reed was in her second year at Juilliard when her childhood sweetheart, Zeus Kincaid, walked away from her. A few months later, Cam realized that she would never fulfill her dream of dancing for the New York City Ballet.
Now working as a dancer in an upscale club in Manhattan, Cam is brought face-to-face with the man she once loved. And it's her turn to walk away from him.
After five years of missing Cam, Zeus isn't prepared to let her go again. But when he finds himself standing on her doorstep the next morning, things don't go quite as he expected...

My review - What a story! A book filled of what ifs, trying to get over your past and possibly letting part of your past back into your life.

In this book we meet Zeus. He is a well known boxer and tends to win each fight he's in. A year after his last fight after something happened he's back to fight one of the most dangerous of fighters. But, when he sees someone from his past he is about to find out a lot more about his life than he thought he knew.

Cam hasn't missed Zeus. It's been 5 years and she is still trying to forget her first love, her childhood sweetheart, the boy who broke her heart and to her, felt like he picked his career that was taking off over her and she has never forgave him for breaking her heart. When a chance meeting happens, Zeus is happy to see her again because he wants to tell her the truth, he wants to show that he never stopped loving her but, Cam is wary. She doesn't want to  let him back in but, when he shows up on her doorstep one day she can't hide the one thing from him that she thought he would never want to know about.

Zeus is about to get the shock of his life. But, is he willing to let Cam go this time? After finding out the truth will Cam and Zeus find there way back to each other or will Cam push Zeus away after being lied to, too many times? Or will the truth persuade her to let her heart open again to him.

This was such a good book. I really enjoyed reading about Zeus and Cam. About where their lives led them after the break up and what brought them back together. What was going through both of their minds at time and just seeing the connection between them. Zeus loves being a fighter but, Cam was his first love and when he finds out about some lies from years ago it changes his mind certain things. Cam doesn't trust Zeus and feels like she can't forgive him but, she can't get past the feeling of longing and love when she see's him. She sees the guy she fell in love with and always feels the connection. But, how do you get your heart and head to agree when one is always saying no.

Cam and Zeus both have their flaws, they both have their secrets and meeting again is about to open a new chapter for them. It is full of drama, romance, secrets and so much more and I can't recommend this enough! Such a fun book that deals with heartbreak, lies and possibly letting your heart open again.

This book review that you made for this month is spot on. I have been looking for a great book to read, and I feel like this might be it. I know that it is a bit hard to do these reviews, especially when you are working all day, but it is interesting that you do it. I want to keep on using this blog to gain new books to read. I hope that you continue to provide us with great book suggestions.
