It's been happening since Min was eight. Every two years, on her birthday, the same man finds her and murders her in cold blood. But hours later she wakes up in a clearing just outside her hometown - alone, unhurt, and with all evidence of the crime erased. Across the valley, Noah just wants to be like everyone else. But he's not. Nightmares of murder and death plague him too, though he does his best to hide the signs. And as the world around them begins to spiral towards panic and destruction, the two troubled teens discover that people have been lying to them their whole lives . . .

I give it - 5/5
My review - WOW. That is all I had to say after I finished this book. I didn't know what to expect when reading this as I just went into it only knowing a little but, what happened is not what I expected. This book took me on a crazy rollarcoaster and I cannot wait for the sequel, which isn't out till 2018 :(, to see what happens.
This book gripped me from the beginning. As soon as I started reading I needed to know what was happening with Min and why it was happening. Min has been killed on her birthday every 2 years since she turned 8. She doesn't know why or the guy who is doing it the only thing she knows is that she survives not remembering much. She wakes up after getting murdered in a clearing not far from her house with no blood or anything. Only the mark where he killed her. She thinks she is going crazy and the only person she can talk to is her doctor but, is he hiding something?
Something weird is happening at her school, there are weird people around and her mother, principle and doctor are all hiding something.
Something is going to happen and doesn't just involve her, but her whole class.
What do they want from them? And what are they going to do?
It is so hard to explain this book without giving the plot away. I do think you should go into this book without knowing too much as it was so fun reading it and finding out what is happening to the characters the same time they do. It is quite Sci-fi I would say which is a great thing. It just flows so nicely and I love how Brendan writes. This book will keep you on your toes and guessing until the end and keep you wanting for more. I cannot wait for the sequel to see what happens as this book is definitely one of my favourites of the year and I can't thank MKB enough for sending this my way.
