Poor Noah Grimes! His father disappeared years ago, his mother's Beyonc tribute act is an unacceptable embarrassment, and his beloved gran is no longer herself. He only has one friend, Harry, and school is...Well, it's pure hell. Why can't Noah be normal, like everyone else at school? Maybe if he struck up a romantic relationship with someone - maybe Sophie, who is perfect and lovely - he'd be seen in a different light? But Noah's plans are derailed when Harry kisses him at a party. That's when things go from bad to utter chaos.

I give it - 4/5
My review - This book will make you cringe and laugh at the same time. It the perfect high school read for anyone in high school or anyone who remembers their time there and for, mine was also quite cringy.
Plus, the cover of this book kills me. It has a textured banana on the front of it and if that isn't the best thing I don't know what is.
I was instantly gripped to the story of Noah and I didn't stop reading until the very end. I had tears in my eyes from laughing so much.
We meet Noah who is a bit geeky and bit adorable. He thinks he likes girls but, at a party his friend Harry kisses him and that confuses him. Not only that, he's not so sure about the girl he likes and then throw in a crazy family with an AWOL dad and a mum who is loud and foul and a 'beyonce tribute' and a loving nan who has got dementia who is plotting to escape her care home.
He has a lot to deal with and he isn't even 16 yet and he just can't even (see what I did there?)
I love Noah. Some of the things he says and thinks just have me laughing so much and he is just one of my favourite YA characters. If you haven't picked this up, or heard of it yet, do it. You will not regret it! It is so funny but also has some wonderful messages that will make you fall in love with these characters. It is so fun and a fast-paced read and you will love it as much as I did.
