Secret identities. Extraordinary powers.
She wants vengeance. He wants justice.
The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies―humans with extraordinary abilities―who emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos reigned. As champions of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone . . . except the villains they once overthrew.
Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice―and in Nova. But Nova’s allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both.

I give it - 4/5
My review - Another brilliant book from Marissa Meyer. I adore her writing. She has written some fantastic books in the past and this is just as good.
I always love Meyers writing. It was so descriptive and gripped me from the beginning. It was such an interesting story and I have been wanting a superhero book for awhile. It's a nice change and after being in a reading slump reading something different really got me out of it.
In this story, the ones with super powers are split between Renegades, which are law enforcers and Anarchists, the villains.
I really liked Nova. She wants retribution. She is such a great character and I really enjoyed reading about her journey and wants to bring the Renegades down for something that happened in her past and she wants them to pay. Adrian is a renegade. He's not all that into the renegades and doesn't agree with some things they decide on but, he still wants to protect them since his mother was a founding member. He is determined to find out what happened to her after her mysterious death.
Then, after an attack on the renegades by the anarchists goes Nova goes undercover as a renegade. Adrian is obsessed with finding out who Nightmare is as he thinks she knows something about his mothers murder but, with secret identities, trying to figure out the truth is going to be harder than they both think. With a whole bunch of twists and secrets, Renegades will keep you guessing and gripped until the very end...and wanting the sequel ASAP.
We've all read books where we either love the main characters or only like one or, hate both. Nova and Adrian are both fantastic characters. I adore Adrian, he's adorable and Nova has a strong head on her shoulders and knows what she needs to do and why. They are both different but, fighting for something they both believe in and wanting to find out the truth.
A new brilliant book from Meyer and I can't wait to see what happens next.
