My review

~I was sent a copy from the publishers-all opinions are my own~

I give it - 5/5

My review - This book pulled at my heartstrings. I was instantly gripped with this book and I fell in love with Alex as he goes on his adventure. This book is told from Alex as he records himself, telling whatever is out there what earth is like and he likes to record all kind of conversations-this did have me laughing out loud a lot during certain moments.

Alex is determined to send his iPod of into space with all his recordings but some things go wrong and before he knows it, he is on an adventure. He finds friends and people adore Alex. He is so lovely and so determined to get his iPod sent up.

Things aren't great at home for Alex. His mother is hardly around, his father is dead and his brother lives far away and hardly sees him or talks to him. But, during his journey he finds out some truths about his family-is this enough to bring them back together? He is about to go on the journey that is out of this world.

I love how beautiful this story was. I feel like anyone could read this and they would all fall in love with Alex and his story. He was an amazing character to read about and of course all the other characters in this book really brought it all together. It was crazy to read how many people wanted to help Alex with his project. It was also fun reading it as the recordings on the iPod.

I loved his relationship with the other characters and just all in all I loved him. I wanted to give him a big hug during his journey and I was rooting him on the whole way.

This is definitely a book that I can see everyone loving when it comes out. You will fall in love with Alex and the adventure he goes on and wishing you where there as well. He is so smart and really knows how to take care of himself and just be an awesome person. A must read for all as you will want to re-read this book over and over again and of course, Carl Sagan, Alex's wonderful dog! The way Alex views the world is just so remarkable.

This book will make you laugh and cry and I can guarantee you are all going to love this book when it's out.
