A community in shock
When eighteen-year-old Rosie Anderson disappears, the idyllic village where she lived will never be the same again. Local gardener Kate is struck with guilt. She'd come to know Rosie well, and thought she understood her - perhaps better even than Rosie's own mother.
A family torn apart
Rosie was beautiful, kind and gentle. She came from a loving family and she had her whole life ahead of her. Who could possibly want to harm her? And why?
A keeper of secrets
Kate is convinced the police are missing something. She's certain that someone in the village knows more than they're letting on. As the investigation deepens, so does Kate's obsession with solving the mystery of what happened to Rosie.
I give it - 5/5
(Kind of a spoiler review but not a full on spoiler review)
My review - After I finished reading this book the only word I said was 'wow'.
I read this book in one sitting and it was brilliant. The whole story-line, the characters and the writing style was just fantastic.
In this story we follow Kate, a mother who is trying to find out the truth about her daughters friend Rosie. She was good friends with Rosie as she always came and helped Kate with her horses.
What I really liked about this story was the different POV's! We had Kate's, who is struck with grief and wants to find out what happened to Rosie. We also have Rosie's POV, from beyond the grave which I found chilling yet interesting. We also had Rosie's mother and little sisters POV.
The whole town are sadden by what happened to Rosie, but also the thought of there being a murder in their community.
I absolutely loved this story! It had me gripped to the very end.
This was such a good thriller that it made you want to carry on reading and find out what happened to Rosie.
THE ENDING!! Oh my goodness, I was not expecting that. From halfway through the book I thought I had the murder pinpointed but boy was I wrong, so that made me love this book even more, not only was it a fantastic thriller it had a few twist that kept me wanting to read it.
Debbie has an amazing style of writing. She was able to capture all the characters and their emotions going through the event.
If you love your thrillers than I suggest this book. It was captivating, dark, and compelling, it's a story about how the most perfect family may look perfect but can also hold a lot of secrets.
