My review - Another stunning novel from Lisa.
2 years ago I read The Baby by Lisa Drakeford and it was just brilliant. I was so excited to hear she was writing another book and even more excited when it came to my house from the wonderful Chickenhousebooks. Her books are always centered around friends and the ups and downs of them and also have something that is about to happen or has happened and they are trying to deal with the consequences.
Told in the same style of The Baby, we have new characters to follow. In this book, as you can tell from the title, there has been a crash. Sophie and Tye are having a chilled afternoon when the unexpected happens, a car crashes into the living room destroying the house. Straight away, you don't know why or how it happened and like The Baby, I was instantly intrigued and had to keep reading until I knew what happened.
We have a POV from each of the characters. You find out about each character and their thoughts on the whole situation and what could have possibly happened. I love that we have all the different POVs as it brought the story together and linked all the characters together. They where all different in their own way and I loved reading about each of them.
A captivating mystery book from Lisa that is one of my favourites of this year. She knows how to grip the reader and make you keep reading until you've found out what happened.
