I give it - 5/5 My review - The perfect summer read.
In Britain, we have been blessed with some beautiful summery weather this weekend and I knew I had the perfect read for it and that was this book. I finished it last night and just loved it. It has made me want to pack up and go on a trip around Europe and visit some places I have never before. This book was full of love, friendships, heartbreak and so much laughter. I really enjoyed this book and I miss these characters already. I need more and I need to know what happens to them in the future.
In this book we follow Sydney and her best friend Leela. Even though they go to different collages in America they decide to take a summer trip around Europe. Sydney is afraid to leave her little sister and mother as she is usually the one who takes care of their mum but, she has always wanted to take this trip. Even if Leela was meant to take this with her boyfriend well, know ex-boyfriend.
They plan on visiting loads of different countries and taking in the sights and, the first sight Sydney sees is Mark, Leela's ex-boyfriend on their plan who, has also decided to carry on with their trip with his best friend Jackson and Sydney cannot take her eyes of him.
With a wrench thrown into their plans they decide to have as much fun as they can, even if they keep running into Mark and Jackson, which Sydney doesn't mind so much as she starts to open up to Jackson as feelings arise for both of them. But, this is just a summer romance isn't it? Or can they make it work with a long distant relationship when they're home?
I really loved this book. I really enjoyed reading about Leela and watch her grow in this book which was great. This book was mainly about their friendship and basically keeping it going and spending time together as they have both missed each other since their collages are 100 of miles apart.
I also love Jackson and I miss him already.
This is the perfect summer book as it will make you want to book a flight straight away. A book of finding yourself and letting yourself be free and having fun doing it. They do a lot of things teenagers do when they go travelling and it was so fun and I really loved the characters and I cannot wait to see what Sarah writes next!
