I've been following her for the past few days. I know where she buys her groceries, where she has her dry cleaning done, where she works. I don't know the colour of her eyes or what they look like when they're scared. But I will.
Mia Dennett can't resist a one-night stand with the enigmatic stranger she meets in a bar.
But going home with him might turn out to be the worst mistake of Mia's life...
An addictively suspenseful and tautly written thriller, The Good Girl is a compulsive debut that reveals how, even in the perfect family, nothing is as it seems...
I give it - 5/5
My review - This is such an amazing story! I started it last night and never put it down! Mary has written one of the best Thriller stories I have read this year!
The story for me really had me from the synopsis. I was wondering what had happened to Mia, what was going on with her family and just had to read to find out what happened and I was disappointed at all!
My favourite thing about this story is how each chapter is from a different POV of a main character and before and after what happened with Mia and I love how when Mary writes what's going on with one character the next chapter will be about another character and what's going on with them at the same time and it really helps the story and brings the plot line together.
I could praise this story all night but I would spoil it for everyone and I want everyone to go and get this book and read it now because it is so perfect and brilliant!
This story was so fantastic and made you think about what was going to happen, which I love and the ending was not what I was expecting at all! I was so shocked! Such a great twist to the story and made it even more brilliant!
If you're going to buy a book soon I really recommend this one. The Good Girl is one of the most best thrillers I have read all year and really kept me guessing and with the shock of the ending it really had me gasping and shouting 'OMG!' all around my room.
Mary has written such an amazing story and I really can't wait to see what she writes next.
New favourite author? I think so.
