The last thing event planner Tara Lincoln needs is the jet-set lifestyle of a football pro like Mick Riley; even though their steamy and passionate one-night stand proved that Mick is an all-star - both on the field and in the bedroom. Tara played the game of love once and lost big, and she doesn't intend to put herself out there again, especially with a certified heartbreaker. But when Mick sets his mind to win, nothing will stop him. And he has the perfect play in mind to catch this sultry vixen.
I give it - 5/5 - I also give Mick a 10/10 ;)
My review - What a hot story! I loved every second of this story!
I loved every second of Mick, just saying.
We follow Mick and Tara in THE PERFECT PLAY, the first book in Jaci's Play-by-play series. Tara is a single mother to a 15 year old boy and she is also an event planner. Mick is a pro athlete and they meet at an event that Tara organised and things heat up from there. Mick is tired of the same women, beautiful women but they would rather talk about themselves and their careers then hold an actual conversation with him he wants an actual relationship and Tara isn't looking for a relationship.
Things heat up at the event and they have a one night stand. Tara wants nothing more from that one night but Mick wants everything. She he tracks her down, trying to get her to date him but Tara does put up a fight, even if there is a spark between them. Plus throwing in Liz, Micks mean agent, things are about to get messy.
This book was fantastic. I loved the characters of Tara and Mick. Also their love scenes where WOW. They weren't over the top and they where very tasteful. It really suited the book.
I really, REALLY, enjoyed this story. It had the right amount of romance, drama and heat. I was gripped from the very first page and I couldn't put it down once. I really cannot wait to read more in this series. Jaci has written an amazing book.
