The Potion Diaries: Royal Tour
by
Amy Alward

Picture
Since winning the Hunt and saving her new BFF, Princess Evelyn, Sam Kemi has been royally busy. What with TV interviews, working in her family's potion store and preparing to join Evelyn on her world tour, Sam STILL hasn't had time for a real date with Zain, her new-boyfriend-slash-former-rival. And that's not happening anytime soon. Someone has tampered with Sam's grandad's mind and she is the only one who can unlock his memories. Memories that contain the key to the most powerful potion in the world and one which people would kill for ...So Sam must swap dresses, princes and palaces for dragons, centaurs and caves in her quest to save her grandad (and everyone else). Just your standard episode in the life of a potion-making teenager, then.

My review

~I was sent a copy from the publishers-all opinions are my own~

I give it - 5/5

My review - What a wonderful book! I absolutely adored The Potion Diaries so, I was very excited to get a copy of the second book and now I need the third book.

Like, now.

I love the world Amy has created. It is so fun and different from other books I have read and I enjoyed every second of it. This book was filled with laughs, love, relationships, drama and some twists I wasn't expecting. Amy really knows how to write a story and that ending, THE ENDING GUYS, has left me needing the next book so badly.

Sam's life has changed a lot after the last book. She has a new best friend, Princess Evelyn and a boyfriend, Zain who was also her enemy in the first book as he was in the wilde hunt and works for a rival company, his dad's company. But a lot has changed since that and a lot of things are going to happen. There is supposedly a cure, that can cure anything, that her great-grandmother made but no one knows much about it, is it real?

Suddenly, her grandfather is taken ill, some of his memories have disappeared just before Sam is meant to go on a Royal Tour with Evie. The only way she can save her grandfather is by trying to figure out what happened with this potion and what happened to her grandmother. But, can she trust everyone she comes to meet? Can she help Princess Evie before her time is up? And who is Prince Stefan? A lot of things are going to happen to poor Sam, it would be a shame if someone evil from her past also decides to show up....

This book was everything I wanted in a sequel. Amy writes really fun books that are easy to read and so enjoyable that you just want to devour it straight away. That's what I did. I was gripped from the beginning and didn't put it down until the end. I felt like I was on the Royal Tour with these fantastic characters.

A brilliant sequel to THE POTION DIARIES and I cannot wait to see what Amy does with book 3 as I am already wanting it so badly. With how it ended I am very excited to see where it goes and I just can't wait for more!
