Growing up on a small farm in the kingdom of Vanguard, seventeen-year-old Layla Givens lives a deceptively tranquil existence. But her carefully constructed life quickly falls apart when she’s abducted by a religious zealot who proclaims her The Fulfillment of an ancient peace prophecy and whisks her away to marry her greatest enemy. Wilhelm, Prince of the Ethereals, is reluctant to meet his new bride. He's grown up believing Vanguards are evil, an enemy to fight and fear...not love. Can he set aside his prejudices and work alongside Layla to bring lasting peace after centuries of war? Nash, a loner who has never fit in, carries a huge secret, one big enough to destroy both kingdoms. When he accidently meets Layla, he’s no longer content to live in the shadows, but he must resist his growing attraction—for her safety and for the longevity of the two kingdoms. When Nash's secret is revealed, a firestorm sweeps through both realms, with Layla at the center. Now she must choose between duty and desire while the fate of two nations hangs in the balance. I give it - 5/5 My review - I am a really big fan of Fantasy stories and authors who can create up their own world and put so much thought and detail into a fantasy story and that's exactly what Erin did! You can go right or wrong with making up your own world and Erin did right! This is such a magical, beautiful story that had me addicted from chapter 1! Each few chapters is about a different character and I love that it is keeping you up to date what is happening to these characters through the story. From the first chapter it had me questioning what was going to happen? What is The Prophecy? And in doing that it had me reading on and I was not disappointed! Erin's writing technique makes you feel like you're part of the story and who doesn't want to be a part of this story?! Some parts had me gasping and it's really amazing when a story does something you don't expect and that's exactly what you get with this story. It's such a beautifully written story that I need more and I'm already re-reading it again. The Prophecy, I will recommend to everyone and anyone. If you're a big fan of Fantasy this is the story for you. It takes a lot of imagination to make up your own world plus characters and describing every detail and Erin does it perfectly which I applaud. I really can't wait to see what Erin writes next and if you haven't already go and get this story and love it as much as I did and feel a part of this magical world. Buy the book here - Amazon!
