Is it time to give him - and love - another chance? Willa Davis is wrangling puppies when Keane Winters stalks into her pet shop, desperate to leave his great-aunt's Feline-from-Hell in someone else's capable hands. But, despite the fact that he's sure he's never seen the drop-dead-gorgeous pet-shop owner before, she definitely seems to be mad at him...The last thing Willa is inclined to do is rescue a guy who doesn't even remember her. Still, she can't deny that Keane's changed since high school - but can she trust him not to break her heart again? Maybe all she can do is throw a coin in the fountain, make a Christmas wish - and let the mistletoe do its work...
~I was sent a copy from the publishers - all opinions are my own~
I give it - 5/5
My review - It is never too early for a Christmas themed book...especially if that book is written by Jill Shalvis. You all know by now that I am a HUGE fan of Jill and her books. They have to be some of my favourites. They get me out of reading slumps and I am a sucker for these romances and this one may be my favourite book from her so far! I love Christmas and romance stories and this had everything I wanted and more.
It was also about animals...how can you not love animals?
Willa works at a pet shop when, one day Keane Winters comes to the pet shop asking her to board his aunties cat. Willa recognize him instantly but he doesn't remember her. But, why would he? He was very popular back in high school and she was just a nobody who he ditched at a dance. She still hasn't forgiven him for that and it really affected her love life. But what hurts the most for her is that he doesn't remember. Keane thinks Willa is interesting, beautiful and he wants her. Can he break down her walls and show her that she should forgot how much of an arse he was in school? Or will she not give him a second chance and forget him alltogether? Keane has some family problems to deal with and Willa wants him to open up more-and he wants her to open up more. Can they both give in, open up and fall in love?
This book had everything, drama, romance, animals and mistletoe all bundled up in this fun book! It also shown female friendship between Willa and her friends, including Pru from the first book in this series, which I loved! Reading about these wonderful women and how they support each other and always have a good time! Their moments together always had me laughing out loud and I need friends like that.
Willa and Keane had a fun relationship. As soon as Keane knew he was in deep he wasn't going to pull out. He knew he wanted Willa, possibly forever, and he was going to show her that she shouldn't be scared and that he is their for her and the same goes for Willa to Keane.
I just wanted to give them both a big hug and shove them together.
I cannot wait for the next book as we are following Elle and she is one of my favourites and I can't wait to see what mischief she gets up to in the next book.
Another fantastic book from Jill that will have you feeling very festive!
