I give it
- 4/5

My review - This book was so wonderful and magical I just loved it.

A story of finding who you are letting yourself be yourself, even if that means letting the world see your powers....

In this book we follow Elanna. 14 years ago she was taken hostage by the king. Since those 14 years passed she's been made to believe her real father was a traitor but, when the king is poisoned and the finger is pointed at Elanna she can only do the one thing she can think of-run.

On the run she meets so new friends and possible enemies and Jahan the mysterious man who has a spark about him...They want to use Elanna to start the rebellion but, Elanna isn't so sure. She has grew up thinking that all of these people are traitors and the king she knew treated her nicely and let her live.

But, after being reunited with her real family she isn't so sure. With all these thoughts going through her head and the her power which seems to be getting stronger, can she choose the right side and help them? Or will she betray them and go with what she has always known.

Okay, so I love Jahan. I want my own Jahan.

I really enjoyed this story and I think Callie wrote it brilliantly. She really knows how to make up a fantasy world that will pull you into it, making you think you are there with Elanna. She writes so perfectly that the first page will grip you and won't let you go.

Callie is definitely an author to watch. This is one of my favourite fantasy books of this year and I cannot wait to see what she writes next.
