I give it - 4/5
My review - This was such a brilliant book! It was very science-y and technical and it was brilliant. One of the only YA books that I've read that actually has this much detail. It may not be to everyone's liking but I really enjoyed that aspect of the story.
I love a virus story and Emily put a really great twist on a virus story. It starts of with a fever, and then slowly destructs the body until it ends it within a few weeks. I don't want to talk too much about the plot as I feel like you just need to jump right into this story.
I was gripped from the beginning. I love reading books that really go into Science facts and DNA and that is what Emily did with this book. This is about a virus going around that no one can stop and about a girl, Catarina, whose father is taken and she left to fend for herself in this virus filled world. She is a brilliant character and I can't get over this book.
I read this book slow as I wanted to take everything in. Cartaxus took her father and she is about to find out more about the vaccine and Cartaxus then she ever knew. Catarina is a badass and this book is going to take people by storm. You won't be able to stop once you've started. This book took twist and turns I was not expecting and I really enjoyed the pace of the story and Emily is a brilliant writer. She has written one of the best books of 2017 that I think everyone would enjoy this.
