My review

I give it - 4/5

My review - Why it's took me this long to read this book I don't know. I loved every second of it.

Celaena is such an amazing main character. She's smart, sassy and strong. I get that she is very arrogant sometimes but I liked that about her. She can hold her own and she is a famous assassin. She is a great female character. Celaena is a teenage assassin, she is serving her time in the mines when one day she is taken by the crown prince to be his champion in a tournament and if she wins she will be freed. I couldn't put this book down. It had me hooked from the very beginning and I loved reading about Celaena and all the other characters in this book. Each of them where all interesting and even the bad guys I liked. This book was a great start to the series.

The writing in this book was fantastic. Sarah really knows how to draw a reader in with her writing. The world building and character growth was just really good. All this with the plot just made this one brilliant book. I really love my fantasy books and this is high up there with the rest of them. I cannot wait to get the rest in this series and I cannot recommend this enough!
