My review

I give it - 5/5

My review - Have I just read the best book of the year? Yes. I actually can't cope with how this book made me feel and how at certain parts I was squealing and just wanted to jump in this book and give the characters a great big hug. After I finished it I read it again. I don't know why but, I missed the characters and their story that I just had to read about it again. It is so wonderful and Sandhya has written a brilliant book that will be perfect for summer!

This is the story of Dimple and Rishi. You actually get chapters from each of them which is great and you get to see what they're thinking and see what they're doing. Dimple loves tech. She wants to go away for the summer to this con where she can learn more tech stuff and possibly win a competition. Which would be great for her with her going to Stanford in the fall. Her parents are very traditional and she is really surprised when they let her go.

Rishi is fine with his traditional parents. He is fine with following in his fathers footsteps. Even though, he is a fantastic drawer and loves comics but just keeps pushing that dream aside. He learns of Dimple from his parents, as they have basically set up an arranged marriage and have got Rishi into the same summer programme as Dimple so they can meet and see if there are any sparks.

Dimple isn't happy. She doesn't want a husband, she wants to learn and go to uni and make a name for herself. But, meeting Rishi might just change everything.

Can they help each other out? Can Rishi help Dimple with her idea for the competition? And Dimple show Rishi how to just be himself and do what he wants to do? Not what his parents want to do...and maybe some feelings are swapped along the way.

I just loved this book. I love reading about their lives and their backgrounds and what their families are like.

I really want a follow-up. Like, a future take as I miss Dimple and Rishi a lot and I loved how it ended. I just flew through this book as it was so gripping from the beginning and the writing just flowed so nicely. It was so beautiful and well-written that I just love it so much. A perfect read for the summer and I don't think anything is going to beat this book as I haven't stopped thinking about it or telling everyone about it.

Congrats Sandhya for writing this beautiful story!
