My review - This book got me in the feels. It was so wonderful and beautiful and I just didn't want it to end. I've only ever read one other Jennifer E. Smith book but I can tell you now I am going to get the rest of her books. This book, even with it's sad moments, made me feel all fuzzy and I just love how the story flowed so nicely.
In this book we meet Alice. Alice is in love with her best friend Teddy. She's known him for a long time and she's afraid if she tells him that he won't feel the same way and it will ruin their friendship. For his birthday Alice buys him a lottery ticket, with some of her favourite numbers. A few days later the unlikely thing happens. The lottery ticket wins and Teddy is now a mult-millionaire. Alice is ready to move on with her future, with a sad past, she wants to go to collage and be with Teddy but, with him winning the lottery things are about to change. Money starts to change Teddy and before Alice knows it, she doesn't really know her best friend anymore. Can she show Teddy the best way to deal with all the money instead of just wasting it? Or will the fame and money get to his head?
This book was so fun and just wonderful. Alice wants Teddy to do something meaningful with the money. Give some to charity, help out some people and for Teddy who has grown up with a gambling father, in a rough place and a mother who works a lot this is it for him. This is the thing that will finally make everything better-or will it?
I also love Leo. Even if he was a side character he was just amazing and I want to read more about Leo and Max and their story. They where so cute and I'm glad he was in the story(I'm just saying he needs his own book)
A beautiful story of friendship. A story about risking it all for the one you love and trying to the best you can with what has happened. I love the story of Alice and Teddy and the craziness that happened. I'd have no idea what to do with all that money but Teddy handles it well and Alice is just a wonderful character. He past isn't the best, she is trying to move on from what happened when she was younger and Teddy is kinda someone she can lean on and I just can't cope with the cuteness.
I just want more from these characters and I want to give them a big hug.
Jennifer has written a beautiful, cute story that I can't wait for everyone to read (IT'S OUT NOW!!)and just go along with the crazy adventure. I can't wait to get more books by Jennifer as this has to be one of my favourites of the year so far!
