I give it - 5/5
My review - This book was wonderful. It was beautifully haunting and I just couldn't stop reading it as soon as I picked it up. I didn't want this story to end. S. Jae-Jones is a brilliant writer and she really knows how to tell a story. Not only that, she writes so beautifully and lyrically. The way the words just went together, it was just fantastic and a brilliant read.
I also found out there is going to be a sequel and I cannot wait for it. I need it now as the ending just left me needing more. I miss these characters already. I love how S. Jae-Jones built the magical world underneath and how she brought all these characters to life.
Liesl knows about the Goblin King. She has heard stories of him her entire life. As she grows older she feels like she is getting older, that all her fantasies and dreams are slipping away. With her sister getting married and her brother having an interview about his music she is in the middle.
But, one day her sister is taken and she knows where. Her sister is taken down under to the Goblin King. Can Liesl save her sister and escape the Labyrinth? Or will she be drawn into the mysterious world full of music and the man who rules it?
This book was just brilliant and possibly one of my favourite reads of 2017. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book and see what S. Jae-Jones writes next. She really has a way with story-telling that grips you from the very beginning and it won't let you go until you've finished the book.
